Home Is Where The Hare Is.
 
I Started this piece, aiming to have him finished for the Worcestershire Open Studios Exhibition, but he just wouldn't co-operate :)
As you can see my initial sketch was so small … I really didn't clock just how much work he was going to take, but I think it was well worth my time, as he's rather beautiful.
 
This piece is all about our lovely countryside, which is our home, & how we adore it so. We love it in the day when we can take long walks through fields & woods, & we love it at night, when we may not be as welcome as we would like to feel, when the magic is strongest.
 
It is painted in oils and has imitation gold leaf, which illuminates & warms the corner of any country cottage.
